Welcome to Hanover Academy, a prestigious day school in Central London for the young and gifted. Each year, the specialized departments host a showcase of their kids’ skills to see who will earn the most funding at the end of the year. School orchestra is the winner, year after year. But, what happens when you push gifted children to their breaking points and secrets are revealed? The worst imaginable. (Well, at least for privileged adolescents.)
Set in the fictional world of Hanover Academy, THE PRACTICE ROOM evaluates academic validation and artistic burnout: what it means to be seen, how we measure talent, and how far one will go to be the “best” at their craft.
